The tragic love story of two lovers who meet secretly each night, which angers the local youth and cause the boy to drown in the rough waters. His body is found washed ashore the next day, and thus the island was named 'Akhtamar' in his honor.

The pilgrim son returns after many years to his fatherland, only to find that he has been forgotten by his friend and his past love. His mother is the only one who remembers, and welcomes him back with open arms.
